Dryden Forest Management
Company is audited by qualified third party
auditors through participation in the SFI
Program and as a requirement of our Sustainable
Forest License.
SFI Certified Organizations certified to
the Forest Management Standards are required to
undergo annual surveillance audits by
independent and accredited certification bodies
to deliver ongoing conformance. To maintain a
current forest management certificate, certified
Program Participants must undergo a full
recertification audit every five years.
DFMC was re-certified in 2018.
The next SFI audit on the Dryden Forest
is scheduled for October 2-6, 2023.
SFI Audit Reports
Independent Forest Audits are an integral
part of Ontario's sustainable forest management
framework. The Dryden Forest management unit is
audited every 10 years.
An independent auditor assesses the
performance of both DFMC and the Ministry of
Natural Resources and Forestry in meeting their
forest management responsibilities.
An IFA audit took place on the Dryden Forest in
2018, with the field audit portion on August
20-24, 2018. Once the report become public
it will be available online below.
